CASE STUDIES
NEWMARKET
RESIDENCE
We were tasked to link a mid century modern house with a native forest backdrop whilst incorporating ornamental grasses. The acer circinatum understory planting allows the eye to voyage from the forest and circumnavigate a softer naturalistic planting aesthetic. The thirteen Populous accentuate the naturalistic planting whilst providing vertical structure against the black facade of the house. During the summer months the house appears to hover behind the tall Calamagrostis disappearing into the evergreen forest.
